Question How fast when in 4x4

I spent some time google searching and all i got was people talking about a atlas transfer upgrade. The question is that when your in 4hi or 4lo, what is the fastest speed you should go? Also, i dont get what the N for on the transfer case??

I just remember one of my friends telling me many years ago you dont want to go to fast when in 4x4 because if you go to fast you could spin something

Lo gear is 10 15 mph, hi gear around 20 mph.
Check your manual.

You have to go to neutral before going to 4lo because of the gearing difference.
Also, it is used when you flat tow the Jeep.

well the reason why i even made this thread is because i dont want to spin a bearing or lock something up for going to fast. like being on a field were the 4hi could help when going over little over 20 mphs and the ground is slippery. lol basicly imagine dukes of hazard car in a field and the back end coming out. How 4x4 could help control it a little better.

I been on icy/snowy highways in 4HI. Hit 60mph never had a problem. Might not be recommended, but I used to do it all the time in Washington State.

I'm pretty sure the stock Rubicon model comes with front and rear lockers (if that was what you ment by "locker on" comment).

Some portions of the road were icy, later on it wasn't. I just left it on during the whole trip.

Check your manual.
It's does not say anything in there about how FAST you can drive in 4H.

I have been driving mine all winter and use 4H all the time. Some times I'm going 100kms/hr sometimes slower.
