When I get moved to Colorado, those could come in handy.

I wonder how much work is involved swapping from tires to tracks and back.

So the tracks come with a Hemi swap, to give you enough power to tow a small house at high speeds?

I talked to American Track Truck about getting a set of these for my jeep. The cost was about 10k including shipping if I remember correctly. They said that it just mounts right on the axle like a normal tire does and that the only thing that takes time is moving them into position. It would be pretty bad ass to have these and go do some amazing back country skiing.

That's about the cheapest I've heard of them going for. Lowest I've seen are $14k.

For snow I'm sure they work pretty good. Do not take them into sand or mud. A company I used to work for tried them out in sand/mud. The dirt gets into all the gearing and after a few hundred miles the units have to be completely rebuilt.
