Good question, I'm in the same boat until I can get new bumpers with d-hooks. Any advice out there?
The snow is coming and I live down a hill littered with cars every year in the ditch.

I really haven't looked, but if I had a strap, I would see if there was anywhere you might be able to throw a wrap around the frame somewhere....

If you pull your airdam, there's a crush bar under there that might work...? But seriously, you can find an aftermarket hitch (ie- smittybuilt or rugged ridge) for about $50 and install it in all of 10 minutes. Or post a thread in your staging area... I'm sure someone has a factory tow hook that they'd be willing to trade for a frosty beverage.

i didnt rear much of the thread, but i am not helping anyone for liability reasons. nowadays people will try to screw you no matter what, even when you're trying to help them. maybe 15 years ago it would have been ok. i'll keep my tow straps dry this season

Just record them stuck and asking for help with the camera on your phone, and get them hooking their vehicle up..then you've covered yourself

I'd say this ^ BUT, modify it a little- have them attach but make dang sure they attach it right!!! People will try some dumb@$$ attachment points! If it looks wrong, don't pull it! If there's no spot to attach that you are comfortable with, don't pull it! Not snatching stucks but still a similar example- I used to have a big diesel truck and a car hauling trailer (for towing my trail rig I used to have), did lots of favors towing for friends, I'd let them pick the attachment points then, I'd look them over before tightening down and hauling. MANY times they'd have picked spots that would damage either their vehicle, my straps, or both!!!

My JK came with the tow hooks on the bumper and what I thought was one under the rear bumper driver side. Are these poor selections? I only ask about the rear for others' info, I've got a hitch and generally hook a strap to the pin for pulling people out.
