1. yes they will help you in deep sand.
2. this is a good read...

http://project-jk.com/jeep-jk-tech/d...ts-lockers-101

3. cost anywhere from $300 (front D30) lunchbox locker to $1000 arb selectable locker.

read that link, decide what is right for you, and do some more searching here through threads. Its a decent investment. Either in time, money, or both depending on how you decide to install.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F40ZBDAG8-o To understand lockers you must first understand a differential.

watch that.

its a very simple and ingenious idea, once you have figured it out. Lockers are a function of differentials and once all the info comes together, you'll appreciate them more.

Well i guess arb or elocker is the best lockers for me cuz i need a selectable lockers
But is there any additional parts i will need ?
And i dont think i will use the locker much
So i need the cost to be as low as it could get , what do u recommend ?
I can lock only the back axle right ?

I was in your position about a year ago. I offroad alot in the summer and mostly the beach, but my jeep is a daily driver. Lockers are expenisve as hell and as of now I have never gotten stuck. I have been on trails and feel 4wd does plenty of what i need to do. I d plan on getting lockers eventually, but I will have Dana 60's on my jeep at that point and my jeep will only be used for offroading or driving in the summer. Lockers are expensive, if your loaded get them, if your low on cash I think money can be spent on other things. Lockers will make your jeep kickass offroad, but like I said I have a brand new jeep that I dont wanna bang up too bad, so I can hold off on lockers for a while

You can buy lockers to lock your front a rear axle. Labor for lockers is pretty pricey and its not something you could do yourself IMO especially if your asking about lockers. If you feel you absolutely need Lockers, go with ARB, there pretty much top notch out there. There about a grand a piece. Also if your goning to lock your front axle which is most likely a Dana 30, then watch out because I have heard they are more prone to break with a locker and larger tires.

I want to lock the back axle only for now , and im not planing to lift or put bigger tires .
As for labor , i live in kuwait and its not that expensive here , but is there any needed parts beside locker ?
Arb is great , but also expensive .
