I didn't see anyone mention coffee filters. They have a bunch of different uses. Use it to pre-filter water, firestarter, write on it if you have to, and in a pinch toilet paper.

I used to have an earthquake bag when I lived in Victoria, BC. I was in the military then, and had access to rations, and some good kit. I would put a folding shovel in your bag, cuts down on space, and you can do the same work with the smaller one.
Water purifier would also be something to add. Not the tablets, but a small filter, cost about $60 bucks, and they work great.
Your bug out bag looks good.

Subscribed. Great thread, great ideas. Been thinking about building an oh sh-t bag as well... For hurricane evacs and zombies.

Hmmmm. You forgot the .45 and a couple extra mags. Just incase the sh*t really hits the fan while you're out and about.

Funny this came up, I just finished compiling a list of fuses and quantities for my list of essentials. This is based on the 2011 JKU Users Manual.
