Moab
2. Make sure you have front and rear recovery points and recovery straps (at a minimum)
3. Spare tire in good shape; jack and lug wrench are packed too
4. Charles Wells guide to Moab from Funtreks.com. Read the intro chapters that talk about wheelin' in Moab
5. Plenty of water in the Jeep for you and your passengers
6. Credit card for emergency expenses (and the number for Moab 4x4 Outpost in your cell phone)
Good luck
Thanks. We are RVers who moved from a camper and F250 to a motorhome and Jeep. Loved the 250 and really love the Jeep. I have been surfing the Moab 4x4 sites. Want to follow the crowd and have new experiences.
Get a good first aid kit and fire extinguisher.
There are tons of trails that you can run in stock form. In addition to the Wells book, also check in at the local BLM office for current info on trail conditions.
It gets very hot in the summer, at least 1 gal of water, per person, per day.
