Mud - How to try and keep it off????

I absolutely hate mud... I love to ride on the trail and play on the rocks... but IMO rednecks can have the MUD. All your friends want to go mud, then it is time for clean-up and they all run away. That stuff is nasty, I dunno how you guys leave it on your rig all the time... eating away at your paint, rusting everything up! Yuck!!!

I will agree that leaving mud on the vehicle for extended periods of time is damaging, but I have no problem with/actually enjoy cleaning up the rig the next day. Most people think I never go offroad when in fact if there is a mudhole, I am JUMPING IN WITH ALL FOUR FEET!
(after I probe the depth with a water fording stick!)

Hmm this is getting interesting...
I have to admit that I stay clear from the mud MOST of the time. I hate it, and it just never seems worth it. BUT, I forget that from time to time and go hit some thick nasty stuff just to remind myself.
I do use WD40 on my fender wells, frame rails, steering arms, some of the undercarriage. Makes it look good when its clean, prevents rust (not a real prob out here in AZ) and helps the mud fall off.
Now, I will def give veg oil a shot just because of the price! Thanks for the tip.

So... I am confused? Are you calling me a troll? Are you calling that guy a troll? I was right in my assumption about the closet, right... So what are you mad about?
