I bought a Delorme PN-60w a while back. It's a handheld PN-60 that comes paired with a Spot Personal Locator Beacon. The Spot PLB can be used by itself to send "I'm OK" or SOS messages. When paired with the PN-60 it can send custom texts.

I use a garmin 500. It's waterproof and can switch from road to offroad topo maps. I use it in the jeep, truck, boat, and rzr

I use a Delorme pn-60. Just got back from a 2k mile offroad trip through baja Mexico and it performed perfectly.
