Garbage bags
Might seem basic, but a couple of Garbage bags in the bottom of the toolbox never hurts. You can use them for a variety of situations:
They work as a quick raincoat, something to lay on as you work in the mud under your jeep, wrap-up greasy parts, as a fluid drain catch-basin, etc...
oh yeah, collecting garbage too.

Not just "a map" but a GOOD map. A good topo map and a compass beats a GPS any day. Oh, and don't forget the most important part: Know how to use them.

Mre. Style food or backpacking style food or canned food high in protein. Just in case. Also I carry a machette. I find it a very useful toolother than just cutting. Makes a good grilled cheese while camping. A good knife. No cheap chinese made crap. Come along, tow strap, and heavy ratchet straps. Very useful if you brake something. Duct tape. Engine/trans oil gear oil and gas.

Good to see someone mention a good knife. A mate just gave me a Ka-Bar Mule great knife for the Jeep. Just need to figure if I want to mount the sheath on the roll cage or keep it on my belt!
