Default RR 8500 Winch controller

I received my Rugged Ridge 8500 winch today and was wondering, I see the release clip on the controller side of the connector but when I insert it in the solenoid connector it does not clip and will come apart if pulled by the cable is this normal or there is a special way to clip the controller connector ?

Thanks

Try it 180 deg turned around. It should insert and turn to the right (clockwise) to lock in.

Let us know if you still have a problem.

You would think so, but I can not tell you the number of people that somehow insert it backwards...

We have tested it here and it's possible but you have to really work at it... so don't know why we get the calls.

Glad it worked out for you.
