Yes you should get one. Just think of it as $50 worth of insurance for your Jeep.

Also, if you're ever really in a bind, you can bury your spare tire and hook your winch to it when you can't winch to anything else around you. Doesn't always work, but worth a try.

Also make sure it is an actual Hi Lift. I have the real thing and the farm supply china model. No comparison between the two.

I got one and have not had to use it...or my spare, or my tire plug kit, or my first aid kit or my insurance policy. All good to have though and I don't carry mine unless I plan a trip offroad. $50 probably won't break your piggy bank and if it does you have purchased the wrong vehicle cause these things are like high maintenance girls, you'll always be spending money on them.

While you a at it, order the Lift Mate attachment. Works great lifting the wheel to get the axle unstuck.

Well I'm sold. its a real hi-lift. She has a coupon for Amazon. Now the only question is what size and how to store it?

I really appreciate the input.

Mine is the 48 inch. I chose that one as the 60 inch was going to be harder to manage for size and mounting on the jeep. I haven't actually mounted mine yet but like the storage across the roll bars or behind the spare.

It is open to the elements and more prone to rust and also easier to steal...
