Not that good of a review... :(
And noticed the guy stands right in front of the winch cable WHILE PULLING!!!
I think there is probably a lot of tension on that cable...

got a buddy going to his buddy with a technical diagram to see how mush it would cost for him to fab a pull pal and join using 1/2 in grade 8 bolts which are more than strong enough jus wondering if 14 " plate for the spade is thick enough for the spade ?

I don't care how it performs in sand
wanted to know has n e 1 tried in frozen ground or real hard earth
I am thinking it was a mistake...
I took it out and got my self stuck so I could see if it works... well about 3 hours later and about 500 trips from the Jeep to the end of the winch line, some high school kids came by in their truck and had to pull me out.
So I went back the next day (i was smarter this time
) and tried without getting stuck to get it to plow in. I eventually had to dig a hole and get it started. It did hold well enough to drag the Jeep and was pretty well buried, I am still not sure how well it would have held if I had it under a big load. that was all in soil in the bottom of a dried up lake. I then tried to get it to bight into soft sugar sand and it would not. I tried that for more than an hour and it plowed through the ground never actually grabbing.
I am not sure if i was doing something wrong or what
but i will have to try it again before i decide to rely on it.

i happened to be in tucson 4 wheel parts and they had 1 in stock so i bought it. heavy as hell i tell you, i havent tried it out just yet but i will on my next R+R home. i do know there is a trick to using these pul pals and wasp's recovery wedges. they have to dig in pretty good and get a good bite before they start pulling out the rig.

you better off going to a boat yard and getting a used boat anchor. i bet that would work better than that thing. besides it's the same concept except boat anchors are meant to be used in the water not sand.
