momentum is the key just find the correct speed to maintain it.
be careful when you snow wheel as it really hard to see what is under it.
If you plan to get on frozen water make sure you have 16"+ of ice thickness.

I think a shovel would be the obvious thing to bring with you, and a recovery kit of some sort. Also, some kind of stove, just in case you have to spend the night and need some hot liquids. Some kind of external traction device that you could throw under your wheels might me good too. I think Canadian Tire sells one of these things. Maybe a tarp incase you have to lie under your jeep to fix something. And don't forget condoms, in case you and your girl have to spend the night, under the tarp, trying to keep warm. just my

I've only been on a few snow runs, but here's my list,
- Friends
- Recovery gear
- Snow shovels
- Food/gear for an overnight stay in the cold
- Air down and an air compressor for airing back up
- Tire chains as your "plan b" for that icy hill you have to get up to get off the trail and back home
My advice would be to air down and only use the chains if you have to. Specifically, don't start with these on 'cause if you get stuck then you're out of options.
