Default Spare / Trail Socket Set Purchase Tip

If you are looking to pick up a socket wrench set to keep in the Jeep I thought I would pass this along. The Kobalt 40pc 3/8" drive Mechanics Tool Set #338512 includes SAE / Metric regular and deep sockets, including a 10mm regular, 10mm deep, 18mm regular and 18mm Deep. I had trouble finding a 3/8" drive set that included the 18mm size and 18mm is commonly found on Jeeps. It also includes 19mm and 3/4" deeps that will fit the stock lug nuts. Add a 1/2" breaker bar and 1/2"x3/8" adapter and you are ready to change a flat. The set includes 16mm regular and deep sockets that can be used for the rear upper shock bolts, and cross member to tranny mount nuts. It includes a 13mm socket for the oil pan drain plug as well. You can find the set at Lowe's for $50. Not affiliated with Kobalt or Lowe's.

Just need to pick a 21mm socket in case I need to remove a set of brake calipers. Oh well next payday
