Squeak After Thick Mud
Hey all. Got myself into some trouble the other night in a rain storm that created some seriously thick mud. After getting it stuck in a ditch with my passenger side wheels up above the rims in the muck I had to leave it for the night. The Jeep was at about a 45 degree angle like this... For a few days I had no issues now I've noticed a squak coming from the passenger side. It happens pretty consistently under about 30mph and seems to go away. It also comes and goes under braking as well. Any suggestions? ?

Try giving it a really good pressure wash, I would take the wheel off the passenger side so have good acess and blast away. Sounds like you may have some mud and or small rocks in between the brake pade and rotor. I would go so far as to pull the caliper off and be sure everything is clean. Thats what I hate about the mud, it gets into the smallest areas and can leave you chasing squeaks, creaks, and grinding noises for weeks afterwards. I have herd spraying everything on the underside of you rig with WD 40 before hitting the mud makes it much easier to clean after.
Good luck, let us know how you make out.

friggin mud....
You definitely want to give it a good wash down. Mud is really hard on your drive train. It creeps into every nook and cranny and will eat away at your bearings, seals and bushings.

Like the first reply, clean out the brakes and the dust guard. Had the same problem from getting stuck like this. Sounds like death, but it'll be fine once you clean it out.
