Default Store your tools

Cant find a thread on this so if it is out there please let me know.

How do you store your off road tools? Not just your Jack and recover gear but Ax and shovel as well.

Mine is bungee cord straped to the back of the back seat.

Whatever you do, make sure that they're secure. As in if you flip your Jeep upside down, nothing will fall off.

As to how to do that - I store my axe and sweep saw between the back seat and my security enclosure, I keep my X-jack, socket set, recovery gear, emergency kit, and booster cables inside the security enclosure, my tire plug kit inside the factory "tool compartment", my electrical and miscellaneous hand tools in a pair of .50 cal ammo cans that are strapped to the the top of the security enclosure, and my shovel and fire extinguisher in mounts on the top of the security enclosure. I also have a pair of "dirt bags" rubberized bags from JeepSwag that I use for all the little things that don't fit anywhere else (air hose, tire chuck, flashlights, etc.)

I don't have a shovel but but tools (wrenches, leatherman, jumper cables, and recovery strap) in the little latch under the bed of the trunk. I don't do anything hardcore though...but I figure other have shovels, change of clothes, cooler etc... in the trunk, strapped.

I use a ratchet bar to hold my tool box and will soon add shovel, axe, etc.. to it. I also use Smitty tailgate gear for my winch stuff, tire deflator, gloves etc...
