Well I guess I had to learn the hard way.... My mistakes - Went alone , no winch, no mud tires , no lift , no shovel, no shoes , no shirt , no problem

Exact same thing happened to me once except I had a shirt, but I didn't have my cell phone or my wallet and I had two big black muddy dogs that jumped out of the window and decided to enjoy the mud. I had to leash them up and walk 1.5 miles to the nearest gas station. I was making some emergency calls from a payphone with the quarters I scraped up from the bottom of the console, when I spotted a 1985 Blazer jacked up on like 40" tires with at least a 6" lift gassing up. I mean this thing was built for yanking people out of mud holes. He was a little reluctant at first since it was obvious he had spent some time recently cleaning up his rig and me and my dogs were covered with mud, but he changed his mind and drove us back and yanked us out after three pulls with the recovery strap, which was the one thing thankfully that I WAS prepared with. Now I have bigger tires and a winch, but still fear the mud if I'm out alone. Getting stuck is kinda fun as long as you have some way to get unstuck!
