Maybe he understands that bigger tires can be used for looks but doesn't actually understand what offroad benefits it provides.

Allright dude, I take it this is a serious question.

Imagine a 4" rock in the middle of a flat road.

Now imagine a match box car wheel trying to roll over that rock. Difficult right?

Now imagine a 10 foot high tire trying to roll over that rock. Would even notice it.

Extreme example but I -hope- you get the point.

Oh, and then theres the whose swinging the bigger C&*@ part of it.
