yeah a little ratchet strap and hook it to the little rings in the floor. I attached a chain to mine and hooked it to a bolt under my backseat. A locking lug nut will fit it perfect. No worries about thieves now. I don't think you could do it in a 2 door tho.

Yup! I learned a long time ago to always tie stuff down.
If I buy a vehicle that doesn't have tie down rings, I install them.

I bought a big Stanley box and cut holes in the bottom so I could run a ratchet strap through the unused back seat footman's loops to keep it in place. And a bad guy can't get to the strap from the outside so if it's locked up it would be royal PITA to steal.

Default Very nice setup....good looking dog too.

I like this setup. I've been using milkcrates with bungees running back to the roll bar...this looks cleaner.

Thanks, man. I wanted something with some security and weather resistance I could just leave in the Jeep all the time. It's working out perfectly.

The dog is a dumb-dumb but I love her.

We weren't going anywhere. I don't remember why I even had the Jeep opened up, but I'm pretty sure I was just drinking beer in the garage/driveway and she just hopped in to lay down a while.

It's kind of embarrassing to say, but since she doesn't ride w/ me @ highway speeds, I don't use anything to secure her. The first time she rode back there when I had the windows out I looped a leash through a footman's loop in case traffic noise startled her enough that she might want to bolt, but it didn't, so I don't use anything. If I was going to haul her around at highway speed I'd crate her.
