I am from NC where the jeep wave is 75% still alive but I spent a few days in western PA and was disappointed bc I saw numerous jeeps and did not get a single wave.

In Michigan, Grand Blanc / Flint area I get waves by atleast 75% of the people. My wife gets sick of it but I just keep waving.

I live in the tri-state area (New York , New Jersey & Connecticut) and I'd say about 10%

The pattern I've notice is that if the Jeep is modified then I'm more likely to get a wave, if it's stock then the chances are slim to none in this area.

Okay, from xmas through new years, 1 wave... None from any one of the 40+ JK's I passed. Even passing a guy in a fellow loaded rig going 5mph looked right at me while I waved and no return. Big reminder of why I try not to be the first wave.... oh well, here in Nor Cal the wave is officially on its way out.

I moved from central Texas to central Colorado early December and I noticed there are a ton more Wranglers up here but barely anybody waves back compared to Texas, unless its a female which I guess most don't know about the "Jeep Wave". Kinda disappointed.

but back in 1992-99 when I was between Indy and Chicago never a problem getting a wave from a fellow jeeper....

I did get a honk and a thumbs up from a 65 year old asian guy at a stop light who was driving a taurus the other day though lol

Here in the High Desert I'd say about 80-90% wave. CJ's, YJ's, TJ's, JK's, XJ's, ZJ's Stock or modded, its cool. Occasionally even an FJ will throw a wave those always catch you off guard..haha. Even struck up a conversation with an older couple in a minivan at a stop light last summer when I was rolling naked and was asked if it came with the top and doors or if I had to buy them sepratly..haha

Haha my fiancé lives in Long Island. I'd say between there and Queens I get a wave back like 40% of the time. Sometimes it's funny to look at their confused faces as they're trying to figure out if they have any clue who you are
