Default Winch Hook

Anyone have a product or tip to protecting the winch hook from scratching my new bumper?

Would guess most are just hooking it to a shackle they leave in place. If you have a bull bar or something you could use a winch pull strap wrapped around that and then clip the hook to. A lot of people are going the thimble route these days.

Yeah, I've been looking at those for years. Never got around to it because I keep thinking I really should swap out the 20 year old steel cable/hook and go synthetic rope/thimble. One of these days...

Factor 55 flat link or the Maximus 3 winch hook- it's nice, but a little pricey.

Dont have a winch hook is option 1 (Factor 55 or others for a shackle) - Option 2 - dont worry about rattles, scratches, dings or dirt...
