Default Your one and only??

So... my one and only 'car' is my 2010 JK Islander (my wife has a 2009 tucson)... and sometimes i don't know how hard or far i'll get to hit the off-road... and i would like to know, who of you enthusiast hard-rocking (or noobs like me) off-roaders have your JK as your one and only drive, and how far or hard are you planning to off-road, knowing that if anything goes wrong, it's really gonna hurt.

(i am asking because i think that most of u have the JK as the off-road vehicle, and if anything goes wrong, you'll take it to fix and use your daily drive normally)

- Pics of your rigs are welcome, i just love looking at those great rigs out there!

Mine is my DD and I offroad it not even thinking about it breaking down. If I bust something that needs repair, then I will just have to figure something out. I'm not going to deny myself some sweet offroading because I'm worried about it getting messed up.Click image for larger version

Something i'm loving about the JK (and all the wrangler style) is the do-it-yourself way of thinking (when possible of course). And yes, i guess that is not worth it to have such a great drive and don't take off limits.

Anyway, as i only have it for a month or so now, and is my first jeep and they're expensive here (50K US for the ISLANDER) i'm still a little afraid... but i guess that the more i off-road the harder and farther i'll want to go.

when u say no one to go with, u mine like with you in your car or other jeeps?

Because, in my case is almost both... i am new at this off-roading so i don't know a lot of people around still (but i am looking for a club or something)... and my wife is not all into that off-roading... she's pregnant right now, so i'm hoping that in some time she'll be able to join... but i do have friends that would love to join meanwhile.

This is exactly why I bought the bare bones X, to still be able to enjoy the rocks and not always be preoccupied with scratches and normal wear. Anything that breaks, needed to be upgraded in the first place.

Jeeps are made to wheel, and still be a DD. That's common ground for the majority of us

That's how i feel sometimes, as the ISLANDER has a lot of standard features, if something breaks, is a good chance to upgrade, like stock fender, stock bumpers, etc...

But i guess i still feel that "still new car" fear... and hope it goes away with more off-roading!

Same for me but I switch it up from my Rubi to the Nissan Sentra for work. Not interested in that mileage on her... people like to TAG along w me but I don't know anyone else with a Jeep who WANTS to go offroading.
