You will see a bigger difference with an automatic , than a stick. You use your smartphone or tablet to interface with it. The unit plugs into your diagnostic port and ties up out of the way, under the dash. You have stock, towing, 87 octane performance, 91 octane performance and 93 octane performance. You can adjust your speedo to read correctly for larger tires and axle gear changes. You can read trouble codes and clear them, too. Several screens of "on the fly" readings of the Jeep. You can see intake temp, engine temp, engine load, etc. If you have an automatic, you can change shift points.
It made a big difference for me, I had (it's gone now!) 2007 JK Rubicon, 6 speed, 35s, 4.88 gears and it was a rocket ship (for a Jeep). I could bark 3rd gear, no problem. That was in 91 octane setting. I once mixed 104 octane with 91 octane (50/50) and put it to 93 octane setting. I drove to Tahoe (three people, overnight gear, 10 gals of fuel in Jerry Cans, hard top and 3.73 gears). I was passing cars going up the hills! Okay, that was an expensive trip and I had to keep the rpm's up, but no one passed me that weekend!
I live in Sacramento and work in Napa. Let me know if you have any questions.
