Talking $45 Hard Top Cart

So I know i have seen this type of thread on here, but my buddy and I made a hard top cart with 45 bucks spent at Lowes. We bought:

- 8 foot long 2x4 qty 4
- 1" pipe insulation Qty 3
- 2 latches (swing bolt)
- 4 caster wheels
- 2 small latches for to hold it folded.
- 2 hinges

So the reason I am posting this is because I thinkg we made an imporvement on the one that inspired me, mainly making it so that it can fold up
when not being used and take up almost no space. Here are pics:

Some of the insulation was relocated before we actually finished and left the top on it but you can get the basic idea from the pics. I think it came out awesome and it saves a ton of space.

That is the best idea i have seen in a long time. Looks like a huge improvement. Especially in my garage where space is at a premium.
nice job! :

Could you tell us the measurements please? I'd love to build that for myself, but I can't tell how you divvied up those 8 ft sections.

Just doing some searches for a cart like this and found this one. Does anyone have the dimensions of the front to back of the cart where the back of the top sit? Thanks.

Glad to see this thread come back... it means it's Hard top coming off time. Was just on the phone earlier tonight with a buddy about taking the Hard top off soon and storing it!! woohoo....

This Cart looks great for sure. Got to figure out a storage solution and this just might be it. I'm with everyone else who was looking for dimensions just cuz' I'm lazy and all the OP would have to do is throw a measuring tape on it for us. Great job none the less.
