07' Range Rover SC Sport Louvers + Truck Master Hood Scoop = 1BadassJK
EXACTLY!
How long have you been waiting now?
AEV hood with no paint =$749
Yes it would.
Thanks.
Range Rover Louvers free (ebay maybe for 100 bucks), hood scoop was $269 including shipping. Install was just the cost of the 4 1/2 drill bit. 34.95 at Lowes. I don't know how much its going to cost to color match everything though.
YES IT IS OUR HOUSE. THANKS DUDE!
$269 for hood. Free install
Free Range Rover Louvers. Install Free also = better looking than any Jeep with store bought mods. IMO

I like it!...
although I dont think our engine needs to be cooled that much and am wondering how that will affect the wind resistance...
Dude....have you seen..Its a god damn brick. There is no way it can get worse.
= I am still more partial to the AEV (yours looks better though!)

looks excellent
Thanks
is there a piece that goes inside the hood to direct the air flow to the filter
Yes there is. I bought it from Burnsville off-road. It has a plastic tube that routes the cold air to the filter.
i think it would look excellent unpainted on a black JK
Thanks

Looks good if you ask me....and i dont think it costs as much as the AEV hood.....hmmmmmmmm
ITS NOT! AND IT IS DIFFERENT. BURNSVILLE Offroad said the AEV hood will eventually rust the front of your engine. Thats why I went with my own custom mods. And I think they look better.

I like it. You don't even need to color match, the green and black have a nice attitude together. Plus with the other black on the jeep (top/rims/bumpers) it blends nicely.
Please don't put the engine's cubic inch on the hood scoop!

Very cool looking! And this is coming from someone who actually paid for the AEV hood. I don't think it's a question of 1 costing more than the other, I think they both look bad ass.
Your hood scoop looks very similiar to "insert name of company doing v8 transplants that I can't currently remember at 446 in the morning". Props to you for being so damn creative! Now your next mod should cost a bit more, get a Hemi or build a ram air box.

I usually don't go for hood scoops on Jeeps, but that actually looks good. Any thought about routing the airflow to the airbox and getting a "ram air" effect? If not I would be curious to see what it does for the underhood temps as well.
