2011 interior!!!!!!!
Add to that...I won't pass judgement until I see one in person.
I was speaking to my dealer last week and he told me they are changing the door to not be as easily removed for 2011, whatever that means. Could be a line of BS though.

for the sake of me being flamed for asking...
why are there so many people that say it looks "too" nice... ?
i understand that jeep is prolly trying to appeal to soccer moms with improved aesthetics and comfort, but just from a jeep owner i am not opposed to improvements to the interior... 9 times out of 10 real jeep folks care about whats outside and under your jeep rather than the interior... coming from my 2007 sahara standpoint, i dont like a lot of things about the interior, i still love my jeep and definitely avoid sweating the small stuff i dont enjoy when there is so much i do enjoy, but added features are only going to enhance what is already a beloved experience.
my jk is my first jeep though i have drooled over them since i was little. i am extremely proud of my jeep (though i dont have as much money invested as i wish i could) and happy about all the perks of it, but i could stand for improvements.... idk maybe i am coming from a new jeeper standpoint rather than an old school jeepers standpoint, but i like the new interiors features (minus the chrome)... i really like the tan compared to the sterile gray interior i have now...
but i welcome all responses, why can things not be "too nice" for you to enjoy the jeep?
cheers

If the chrome accents were an "upgrade" and were color matched standard, I don't see it being all that awful. I would like to see the tan color; without the black two-tone business. My biggest concern is that the doors come on and off as easy as a 07-10.
I also don't think the concern is that its "too nice" as much as it is that it seems Jeep is focusing more on the asthetics than the performance. Although I don't quite understand the unlimiteds complaint about Jeep trying to appeal to soccer moms. I thought that happened in 2007.

At the end of the day if it drives sales, I don't see it being a bad thing.

i like it much better than the stepped center of the dash. if the chrome rings of the spedo and steering wheel looked more like brushed nickel and the tan was a charcoal grey or something, i think it would look good. then again, i think that tan and black would look sick on a black jk. the area around the shifter looks way better. i don;t know much about the auto trannies in jks, does that zig-zagy shift pattern in the '11 indicate an auto transmission change?

compared to

to all of the people crying over how jeep is ruining the brand, please grow up. while i still believe that my old cj with a steel dash, stiff (filling rattling) rancho suspension lift, m/t tires, no rugs, lots of rust, soft top that stopped most of the rain, and vinyl seats that wiped dry in a second was a "real" jeep, i love the unlimiteds. pretty soon i will have one. it will fit into my lifestyle way more than a cj right now. that doesn;t mean i don't hope to own one again some day. if you don;t like the changes, then don't buy one. i don't think that i am the only one that doesn't want to hear elitist windbags going on about how awesome their jeeps are and how hardcore they are. if i am, i will gladly shut my mouth (aka put down the keyboard).
