the sport would save you money up front, but consider how much you would have to sink in to it just to get it to the point of a stock rubi. gears,lockers,disconnects,dana 44 up front,more aggressive tires,better interior options right off the bat.

Okay. I just got the thumbs up from my wife to get the 2-door! I didn't think that was going to happen. Now I need to decide whether to get the Rubi or the Sport (and do a buildup)

Just ordered a Sport S Gecko w/ Black 3 piece roof/fenders as a 50th b'day present for my wife !
Smittybilt tubular bumpers , aries nerf bar ... all pc /textured black
BDS 3" lift
17 x 9 XD Series Addicts (black) with 35" x 12 .5" Fierce attitude rubber
Currently in D status , can't wait to see what this will look like !

Pulled the trigger
I signed all the finance documents today. It looks like I will be picking it up tomorrow! I thought my wife wanted to drive the STi over the weekend before taking delivery, but today she mentioned that I can do the trade tomorrow. Now all I need to do is wait for the dealer to get my TeraFlex PreRunner Suspension, Fox Racing Shocks, and Katzkin Leather in and do the install. The leather is going to be the black tuscany bolsters with black barracuda inserts and green contrast stitching.

I am going to keep the stock wheels and tires for now, but add some spacers. What is everyone's thoughts on the TeraFlex PreRunner with the stock 32s and spacers?

Contrast Stitching
For those of you who are interested, I am attaching a picture of the contrast stitching color. It isn't a 100% match to the Gecko color, but I think it is close enough. Once the leather is installed, it should be hard to tell the difference visually. The thread has a sheen to it that changes color based upon lighting. The highlight matches the body color really well, but the shadow is a bit more blue in color than the yellow of the Gecko colored body.![Click image for larger version
