35" Wrangler MT/R Kevlar, 15x8 Cragars, EVO C-Gussets+RockStars, and Rancho Carrier
Got my 35" Wrangler MT/R Kevlar installed finally on 15x8 Cragar V5 with 3.75" backspacing. STILL had to grind down the forward lip of the caliper "bracket" to clear.
He also welded in my EVO C-Gussets and I installed the EVO RockStars a few days ago. He ramped the JK with the lift and had 0 problems. I hammered in the pinch seam and clears NICELY. Shocks are not bottoming out NOR fully extended, have about 1/2" left in travel, with OEM shocks.
Last week he modified my Rancho carrier. They use hitch pin as a handle and everytime I decended an obstacle last month the pin hit the boulder and flew off, 6 TIMES! So, he used a cotter pin style nut, welded it upside down, and drilled a hole through the hitch pin. Now, nothing to fall off, and it's actually tighter than it was before.
All in all, a GREAT day for the goodies install.
Going from a Definity Dakota M/T 285/75R16 with the OEM JK steelie to a Goodyear Wrangler MT/R Kevlar 35x12.50R15 on a Cragar V5, the weight went up 18lbs. On a 0 mile Definity with OEM steelie, it weighed in at 76 lbs. Now, wit the new setup, 94 lbs.

The funny thing is that I always look at that. I do have a TF adjustable trackbar on it now. I've taken measurements soo many times and the axle is centered. But still, links look to be off.
No. He welded a stitch at a time while keeping a damp rag on the ball joints. Ball joint never got super hot (you can actually touch the ball joint enough to not melt your hand). When your torching steel, all the heat gets drawn to the coldest point, hence, the wet rag.
