Looks good! Definitely making me want to put some 37s on my Jeep before the 3" lift since I have 10" of clearance with flat fenders and a leveling kit

That is not necessarily the case. I'm running 2 1/2" extended Teraflex bumpstops in the rear, and have no tire rub with my 37s, without a body lift. Here is a picture of the rear suspension fully bottomed out, with the yellow rubber bumpstop pressed completely up into its metal cup. The metal cup is actually pressed against the Teraflex bumpstop, and you cant even see the yellow rubber bumpstop anymore. You can see their is still "just enough" tire clearance. I'm pretty certain you could fit at least one or two pieces of paper in between the tire and the pinch seem, which is all the clearance you need. I've got about 2500 offroad miles on this setup, exploring southern UT (Canyonlands, Moab, etc.), and there is no tire rub.

These Procomp 37s are actually a pretty good sized 37 as well, ... bigger than BFGs or Goodyears.

And here are a few pictures that show how I trimmed the pinch seem. It doesn't look too bad. You can also see that I still have stock upper control arms.

I think the difference between Planman's setup and mine, is that his is a two door JK, and mine is a four door JK. Apparently the four door JKs have more tire clearance at the front of the rear fender than the two door models do. My impression was that the original poster had a four door JK.

Default Nice

Jeff76, those flexing pics are impressive considering the lift & tires you have. I think I'm inspired by you, MOPWR2U & planman's writeup, with your minimal lift and big tires approach.

I do have a question for you guys if you would know, for street driving do you think just gussets & axle sleeves on the d30 that it could handle 38-40" tires? I know off roading would be an ultimate death sentence but whats the livability just on the street?

Sleeves arent gonna do much unless you put a locker in your d30, gussets however would be required, your cs would bend open up in no time with 37s.
