400 polka dots on my JK
Ok...Cue the laughter.
I was tattooing a pin-up girl on someone the other day, and we did a metal bomber-style background with the riveted sections.
I liked the industrial look of the rivets, and have airbrushed many motorcycles in similar styles.
Since I am seeking similar outcome from my Jk, I decided to fake some rivets.
I got 400 1/2" black vinyl dots, and measured out the entire Jeep and stuck em.
Here is the what it looks like now, after a little over 200 dots.
I am planning on stripping the hood lettering, putting more dots there, and recutting new lettering to replace above the dots. also going over the cowl and the rear of the hood, and around the tailgate.
OK everyone....Let Me Have It!

EDIT: ADDED COMPLETED PICS:

well, completed until I design new logos for hood and side panels..

I'm a sucker for different, I like it as well, but damn you measured each dot as in starting from one point and then adding say 5" to the next or you measured a lengths between two points, did the math and spaced them...
(too much work)...regardless I like them, just curious.

I'm feeling you!
There's another guy on here that does model airplanes I think and he has rivets on his. It works for me- especially as a work vehicle to advertise your business.
Post up the rest when your done.
