60's, anyone?
Probably a little early in JK production for people to start putting 60s on - usually factory axles need to break first. Petersons OR is building up a JK for their annual off road week thing. They might be worth keeping an eye on. They tend to put some beef on their rigs.
Short answer ... yes.
Long answer ... cruising down the highway yesterday i spotted what looked like a JK but thought ... no way. Pulled up, sure enough it was. Had at least 18" (yes 1' 6") of lift and 40" tires on it. Looked like 60's front and rear. The sticker said "Chevy BB inside". Granted, it was a special built rock crawler on a trailer, but none the less a JK. I asked the guy if he could spare five minutes and let me take pictures. He said "nope". All i snapped was him pulling away. He was headed to a shop here called PSC ... I know the owner Tom and have requested pictures of his sponsored crawler. We'll see what he says ... it was beautiful though !!!
*** Update ... Tom and that very JK are on the "Ultimate Adventure" right this very second. his lovely wife is picking them up Saturday and has promised me some pictures !!!
i am supposed to catch back up with them on Tuesday of next week to collect them !!!

In the new issue of 4wheel & offroad magazine they have a feature with the new Currie rocjoc axles for the JK. It is a D60 that uses the factory breaks and steering knuckles. Doesn't say anything about axle size but I imagine 35 spline.
