10,000 you might need to pull someone out bigger than 8000 pounds

$299 for the 8,000#, hard to ignore that price, and its more then enough power.

Well tell you what, 8,000 lb. is good enough, but always remember when you're mudding, that xtra 2,000 lb. might come handy pulling your rig out, so a 10,000 lb. is more up my ally. I have a 12,000 lb. XRC & it's been great for that xtra weight I have on wheels, bumpers etc... Just something to think about.

I've pulled a old Ford F100 long bed with 37s out of the mud with my 8k. It was up to the frame in mud and I had no problems.

I just worry about pulling myself out, not everyone else. The XRC 8 works just fine for a 2-door.

Has anyone tried to use a snatch block instead of getting a winch they dont really need? It is designed to pull double the strength of the winch and I doubt anyone needs more than 16,000lbs of pulling power.
