If that tire carrier ain't contacting the bumper, it's damn close....and that's with the carrier closed. If the bumper was available without that carrier, I might be more impressed. Looks like trouble to me.
i emailed olympic4x4 just the other day and asked if the rear smuggler bumper could fit a 40" tire and if so, would the bumper rub with the tire carrier. they told me that it would without a problem. now i donno if thats true or they just want to make a sale :s

I like it but wouldn't need a 42" tire. Looks stout and I like that!!!! I plan on building my own but this gives me more thought about what I want to do. The rear tire dropping down seems like more to rattle or come lose. I like the winch option because I haven't seen that in any of the rear bumpers.

Interesting. I'll have to take a closer look at this. Unfortunately, the link to the matching front bumper on the quadratec site says no product found.

Not real sure about this one. It really looks heavy plus looking at the pick it seems the tire carrier at the hinge side drops down a little and rests on the bumper. This would cause rubbing which inturn would cause rust. I dont like rust

I like the look and function of this rear bumper but the front Smuggler is really ugly looking with the side cargo boxes...

Default The coolest rear bumper ever?

I just ran across this on Quadratec... It's by Olympic 4X4. What do you guys think?

It swings Out & FOLDS DOWN to let the tire right on to the ground...
Has built-in Hi-Lift Jack points (this is a GREAT IDEA) & D-Ring Mounts
Built-In Rear Winch Mount Plate! <-- REALLY COOL!
Built-in 2” Receiver
Built in CB antenna mount
HiLift Mount on Tire Swing Section - which is angled to give more clearance.
AND!! It is Made in the USA.
Price: $1494.99 (which isn't that bad in my opinion considering what all you get, I think that it is a GREAT deal!)
