Look closer at the first image of the black Rubi - it appears there's an offset that holds the fender away from the body and the clip. I didn't see it at first but sure looks that way.

Somehow, someway, the color matched ones look to me vaguely poserish / hummerlike. Not for me. Kinda prone to flatties, but honestly one of the last mods I'll probably make.
