No, I couldn't for the life of me figure out what they would do for me or the bumper. 
You have to cut them off the stock bumper and screw them on another piece to make them work. They sit behind the plastic covers and if hit straight on, they might slow an impact.
Crap! Impact, this bumper could hit a Mack Truck and kick it's butt...

Looks good. Also when I ordered my stuff from Joe, he said I need a winch plate. But I did not need it with this bumper and yes you could put a good size winch on this bumper with no problems.
