Aug 27th Update

Worked with Eric & Gabe over at Spin Imagining in Long Beach to come up with the concept that we were looking for. Wanted to go with a flat green military look that incorporated some form of distressed armor look into the wrap.

Once we had the artwork nailed down the guys at Spin printed out the vinyl and started the installation process late on Thursday afternoon.

Friday at noon they were all done with the wrap (guys at Spin did an awesome job taking our somewhat shaky art direction and get us the look we were after) and our JK was ready to head back down to Off Road Evolution to get the Mastercraft Camo seats installed, Rear Bumper and Tire Carrier bolted on, Lightforce HIDs hooked up and a couple other last minute additions and we will be ready to hit the road on Sat Sept 4th for Wyoming

We set off to get our JK built in time for our ride on the JK Expierience and we cut it pretty close. We picked it up from Off Road Evolution on Thursday Sept 2nd and left for Cody Wy on Sat morning with a brand new JK with 500 miles on it. Made it to Idaho Falls Sat night and then through Yellowstone and into Cody Wy, getting to check in 15 minutes late pretty good time management. Seems that our new beadlock is popular with the "Tatanka" in Yellowstone must give off some female tatanka scent.

Mon was going to be a good day to test out everything we would be going up a cliff on a goat trail with about 30 switchbacks, great time to make sure the 4WD and lockers all work.

Made it through the cliff day with no problems so on to the next day which was going to be rock crawling on a 20,000 acre private ranch, goal was limited body damage. Put a sticker on the bottom of the JK just in case we rolled it we would get some good shots. We left the "Hot Tub" up to the guys that didn't have to bring their JK back to their boss in shape for SEMA.

Day three was mainly a travel taking us back through yellowstone and a chance to check out Old Faithful do its thing.

Day four would take us up into the higher elevations of Montana where we would get what everybody from So.Cal is used Snow and 36 degree temps two days after Labor Day, Montana Summer I guess. Great time on some forest trails with some rocks and some water crossings.

Got to use our new Warn 95TI winch for the first time that night in order to hoist the tarp, poured that night so I slept in the front seat and was grateful we went with the reclinable Mastercraft Baja RS seats.

Day 5 was going to be a mud day which was good for us since we were running 40" Nitto Mud Grapplers, which meant someone was going to get roosted

Day 6 and the goal was not to break anything now bacause the next day we would start the 1,200 mile trek from Idaho Falls to Long Beach. So we decided to take it easy in the Sand Dunes of St Anthony, ID.

Day 7 headed home with a JK that had been throughly tested and performed great on everything that we did during this great trip. Thanks to all the companies that helped us out and especially to Mel, Lisa and the Off Road Evolution crew for getting it all put together and having it stay together. Next stops Off Road Expo and then to SEMA
