Adding sleeves would add about 30% more strength to the tubes. Looking at the damage I am not sure that sleeves would have prevented bending this time. Hydraulic Bump Stops might help but they are a little pricey. Mt Logan is working on a new set of external tube re-enforcements. They are welding larger tubes on the outside of the stock tubes. External tube re-enforcement would add much more strength than internal sleeves.

However, last I heard they are still prototyping and not in actual production.

Grind a bevel at the base of the tubing and burn it with 7018 stickrod. It SHOULD hold up

Sorry about that, it's not tubing. If you drilled out where the carrier connects to the bumper, is there any way you could weld it from underneath? Sorry I'm not sure how the under side of it looks...

So the moral of the story is what?

1) Don't drive in unknown dunes at night;
2) Don't fly high with unlimited on 37"s with stock Dana 44
3) Don't drink and drive? (j/k)

Would still of loved to see a video of this. Wonder how high he flew/dropped. D@mn!!
