Default Bedlined Door Hinges

Today I tackled bedlining my door hinges. Took a couple hours, burnt my back, but came out looking awesome.

I didn't sand them down. Only thing I did was clean them real well. I put the tape down, then put pages down. I would suggest covering more of the door area so you don't get over spray all over the door.

I took a couple before and after pics.

While I was at it, I went ahead and did the shiny key holes as well.

I couldn't agree more. I have been thinking of doing the same thing. It just scares the crap out me -

Great job. Both of you.

I am interested in doing this also. Just wondering if you think it would be easier to take your hinges completely off then spray it?

When I did mine, I masked the door and painted the hinges in place but I also removed the other half on the hinge on the door frame and painted them. I think it looks better if both pieces match.

Anyone done this with plasti-dip or is everyone just bed lining? I have extra dip, but no lining, what kind are you guys buying and from where?

Looks great man, been waiting to see it on a Rescue Green, now I need to just make the jump and get mine done, because yours looks amazing!

I took mine off to bedline. I tried plastidip but it chipped/ tore when I was putting the doors on. Rustoleum looked good for hinges, little smoother than Dupli color I think. The 2012 is such a pain in the ass to put doors back on alone cuz there is no grab handle on inside. Kinda sucks to do it alone.
