Cool Bedlined door hinges...

After reading a good write up from my boy DYOLFKNIP on this I decided to give it a shot. I really like the look of it. It's a pretty easy and inexpensive mod. I used Plasti-Kote bedliner. I liked the hinges so much I did my tow shackles too. Let me know what you think......

Nice, very nice. Did you remove the hinges to spray them or did you just mask them off? Also, if you did take them off was there any problem getting them back on and the door closing? Did you have to re-align them? I really like that look, nice job again.

1.) Yes, removed all hinges to paint them.
2.) No alignment problems with the reinstall. It's very easy to see EXACTLY were they go due to the lack of paint underneath them.

dont know about the op, but ill tell you my story...

i popped my female hinges off and had very little paint to line the hinge up with.

i put them back on finger tight and then hand to do a little adjusting to get the male hinges to fit like stock.

for the most part, you should be able to line it up where the sheet metal meets the paint.

i also had an issue with one door... when i popped loose the bolt, the bar that holds the two bolts even broke loose from whatever it was attached to. i had two little twigs hold it in place so it wouldnt slide down the door.

besides that it was cake.

No problem. I was doing the same thing until on of the Canadian JKers did a write-up on this.
