Default bedlining door hinges

does anybody have a write up about this ? like do you cut with a knife between the hinge and door panel so it dont chip the paint when you take off or do you just unbolt and remove ?

I have done this mod myself and yes I put a bit of black rtv around the bolt anchor openings in the door skin. At least this way water can't seep inside the door (through that opening anyway). When you tighten, some of the rtv will squeez to the edges, I just smoothed it around the hinge so it blends with the bedliner. Also, you do want to cut the paint around the hinges first with a razor. Some folks have gotten away without, but I wouldn't chance it. Have fun!!
