So, is putting Rubicon on a non-Rubi model considered "posing"?

yes.

it is kinda like putting a "hummer" sticker on a jeep, or a "Z28" sticker on an RS, or a "type R" sticker on a honda, or a "flowmaster" sticker on a vehicle with stock exhaust, or a "NOS" sticker on a car with no nitrous.

you can't make an X equal to a Rubicon without some MAJOR upgrades and about $8000.

it's not about customizing the vehicle to his liking. it is a lie. it is dishonest. it is about trying to make people think he has something better than what it really is. it is pathetic that he thinks he needs to lie and be a poser.

I dont care what a person puts on their vehicle, they should just be aware that when they do pose it as something else that there are people that can tell. If those people are like me they will call you out in front of your friends and make you look stupid. (I recently called a dodge ram owner out with an SRT bodykit/wheels/spolier/badges that only had a Hemi under the hood.......tisk tisk)

OK, since you asked.... (and I am bored at work) Here are my counterpoints:

First, and most importantly, it's a STICKER!!! and I write the check for the payment every month.

Second, no reason (directing this at mcnaught) to get personal on anyone on the forum, it is a public forum. If you don't like what you see, turn the channel! I looked in your gallery and all I see are pics of Bofer's Jeep mod and some armrest pads, they are really clean and shiny! Get your little nerdy ass out from behind your computer and drive your Jeep (if you even own one) through some dirt!

Third, with all of the problems that the e-lockers and the e-swaybar discos have had, I don't even want them. My $99 tera quick disconnects work just fine on the trail. Once Aussie makes lockers for the rear I will install a set on F & R.

Fourth, the "Rubicon" is actually a river in Italy and the river in California isn't even the "original" Rubicon. So a 4 year old name on a Jeep hood is a "history" and "sacred"?

Fifth, the Jeep in question (mine) now has a 2.75" spring lift, new shocks, 33" Mud Terrain tires, rock rails 10X stronger than the factory ones, manual Quick Disconnects, and a Dana 44 in the rear. Plus it gets wheeled hard on as many occasions as I can, so all the people who buy a "genuine" Rubi and cruise the mall really should just keep their mouths closed.

It's a Jeep thing, I love mine, and all that matters to me is that I build and use my Jeep the way I want. Off road ability comes from the driver's seat not from the decal on the hood.

obviously you don't feel this is true, otherwise you wouldn't have the sticker on there to begin with.

oh, and you also don't have a 4:1 t-case or a dana 44 in front.

and there haven't been tons of problems with the oem lockers or electric discos. that is just a b.s. excuse.

and the only pictures i have in my gallery are the ones that people have requested me to post.

you, on the other hand, have deleted all the pictures of your bone stock X with the rubicon sticker on it, so that no one can see them anymore.
