Default The Big Brown Truck came today!

Dropped off my RC 3.5 lift for my 2008 JKU!

now all I need is a day off off of work....

Any install tips as this will be my first lift kit install, I'm pretty good with a wrench so I'm not intimidated or anything just looking for advise from the guys who done this sort of thing a time or two....

Thanks!

Loosen the trackbar/control arms and don't tighten them again until the lift is installed and on level ground (on the tires). Then torque to spec, this will prevent binding/pre-loading the bushings that can lead to problems.

I have this same lift and put mine on with help from some buddies.

Everything was straight forward, but we ended up dropping the front drive shaft to put the front springs in. It was pretty easy after that. I've seen where people have used ratchet straps to compress them some, but we didn't have any.

good luck and show us some pics!

A couple of wrenches, maybe a drill, a second set of hands, and 30 pack will definitely get the job done!

Definitely make sure you have all the tools on the instructions. You can download them from RC's website if you haven't already. Be careful because there are some you need that are not listed. I remember a 33mm wrench. Luckily I had everything we did need.
