After looking at wheel, after wheel, after wheel I decided to black out my factory moab's. They are 7.5" wide 17's and will become redundant when 35's are purchased in a year from now (backspacing 6.5 and rim width isn't enough for 35's). Instead of having my powder coater do the job I chose to plasti dip them, as my time frame is only a year until 9" wide 17's (4.5bs) become a priority. I bought black lug nuts on ebay and grabbed some plasti dip from Lowe's. I removed each wheel and painted them after a good wash and an alcohol wipe down. I painted the insides as well to help create a better seal on the wheels. The result is unbelievable. The finish is exactly the denim I wanted and black wheels on a gecko green rubicon jk look much better than silver. I highly recommend it. So far I have got salt all over them in my Canadian winter and washed them several times with absolutely no sign of decay.
