I wonder if there will be some kind of factory recall or engineering rework to change it from a plastic button to something metal or what ever that won't pop off so easily?

My cable has been put back on but it's overall off by one position...

I'd say you have to take it off and put it back on with the shift lever and t case lever in the matching positions, just not sure you can do it without breaking it

damn that sucks, so it popped out of gear and the cable broke without you shifting even, that doesnt sound good.....does it go into 4low without the console it the way?

Get it fixed and come show off that Hemi at Ocala and Hardrock on the 23/24th

Thanks for all the help guys. I took it into the dealer today, with printed photos of what was wrong. That help save time on the diagnostic. I even pointed it out to them when it was on the lift. They had to order the part, which is the whole cable. It should be in by Thursday. Hopefully I do not experience the problems that Ben is reporting.

I'm getting my back from the dealer today. they had to order the cable. Now should I put a zip tie on the connector when I get it back so that I won't have to worry about it coming off again Or should I just leave it alone?
