Default Calling a Jeep a car and the effect on cats

Yesterday evening I found my daughters cat laying in front of my shed Dead as a post.So I came in the house to tell my wife and ask what to do.We live in the country and the cat is sometimes gone for weeks at a time but always finds its way back, so I figured I get rid of it without telling the kids. She made me tell the kids so we went out to bury it together. My daughter who is 10 says "dad what did lilly die from?" I say im not sure. My son who is 6 says "someone must of called a Jeep a car I guess!!" I laughed so hard I wet my self. Well my daughter didnt find it as funny as the boy and I did so she stomped back into the house and my wife came out yelling What did you do to her? My son says "I just told her that her cat died becaused someone called daddys jeep a car!" She got pissed at me for telling him that last week.

That is great (well not for the cat or daughter). Kids (like your boy) can say things that are just funnier than anything we could say at the time.

Thanks for the story, now go get the kids a proper pet like a dog!

Haha read this during class and I couldn't help but laugh. Everyone wanted to know what I thought was so funny about Deaf children learning syntax in conversations. Lol!!

Good to know you're raising your son right. Sounds like you need to spend more time with your daughter though.
