I don't think that the fumes would get to a dog. the cage is above the exhaust and the exhaust faces down. wouldnt be any different then riding on the back of dad's old truck tailgate. I'd be more worried about getting rear ended with the dog in the cage.

But I was thinking the same thing. Would be great for hunt dogs. Plus I have a front reciever so I could use front, back or both. Great product. Thanks for sharing.
