Default cool guy H2

So I was makin deliveries today when this H2 parks beside me. Blacked out, little bit of lift, little tires, but pretty cool bead locks. Black with red accents. My rig is black n red so I checked them out. Well he comes out, I asked him what kinda wheels he had. Figured hed give me a brand name, nope! He said they r fake bead locks! What? Huh?? Asked him what he meant... said ya, they just for looks.... hmmmmm wtf is this true? And if so, why??

I think there is some that are DOT approved but don't remember which ones

Also sometimes they make them as riim protectors In which you can change them after they get trashed and your wheels are in perfect condition

They also give you a sacrificial part you can replace after you drag them over rocks and such.

Some people run beadlocks on their daily driver like I do. The laws in Florida are a little more relaxed about running them on the highway. Yes I run the risk of the rings coming loose so I take the necessary maintenance to make sure I am torqued all the time. Plus Trail Ready beadlocks are great for screwing them on and not worrying about them coming loose.
