Default Custom 2 Door Exhaust

Some members have been asking about my exhaust, so I decided to put some pics up. It's a two door rubicon, and I had the craptacular stock muffler cut off, and had some 2.5" tubing with a moroso spiral flow muffler welded on. Only cost two hundred bucks total including stainless pipe, muffler, tip, and labor. It doesn't sound like a V8, but I haven't heard any others get close either. It doesn't rasp or sound horrible, but if I could redo it (and I may), I would try a summit chamber flow or a flowmaster hushpower.

Sure would be nice to hear that. Looks like it would be loud. Nice job though. Hows the heat on the floor boards. Any plans to move the stock shield over there?

Super quiet and it doesn't get hot at all. I'm probably gonna take the heat shield off and make the tub deeper for more storage. Just saving my pennies, so many mods so little greenbacks. I can record a sound clip later, but don't wanna get laughed at. Sounds a little lame at really high RPMs.

If you do make a sound clip you can PM it to me, I wont laugh. I give you kuddos for doing it. Everything is an experiment at this point. Some have to pave the way for others. Not too many choices for exhausts to fit in that area.

Looks great. I was think of doing something similar to my 4 door. I am probably going to buy a summit turbo muffler and have a local shop put it on. I thought this could be done for a lot less than a Gibson or Borla. There are a lot of good quality mufflers for a lot less money out there. Summit claims a 25 horse power increase and their mufflers list for under $40. Just what my AEM CAI has been waiting for
