Default Custom Rock Sliders

i posted this in the wrong forum yesterday, sorry:
Here are a couple of pictures of my new sliders. A friend of mine at a local shop and I have been working on them in our spare time over the past few weeks. They are made from 2" X 4" X 3/16" rectangular tubing and 1 1/2" X 1/8" wall round tubing. They are welded to the frame (I know some won't like this, but I think they're stronger). Before anyone asks, these are a one-off custom job. They are not for sale and I am not marketing them.

Excellent job! I've been looking for some sliders that follow the body line just like you and your buddy did!

Why can't others do this?

I like the Shrockworks ones except for the unfinished look they give the Jeep because of the BIG gap between the slider and the lower body. You filled this gap perfectly leaving enough room not to damage the body in case of a HUGE bash! GOOD JOB!

Great job! I like those better than the Shockworks. Like the other post. They look more finished and fit better.

How much of a gap did you leave between the body and the sliders?

We actually notched the pinch seam above the mounts for extra clearance, so there's about 1/2".
