Default Custom stubby

Finished welding and painting my custom stubby yesterday and today. Welding was much less complicated than attaching! It kick my ass today. Not completely finished but here it is so far. Not too bad for my first attempt at fabricating.

3/16 sheet metal, cut by a local steel supply co.

purejeep bolt-on d-rings (all ready had them from my factory stubby project)

purejeep bolt-on hoop (all ready had them from my factory stubby project)

stubby all painted waiting to be drilled.

A few shots after 3 drill batteries died. (never borrow tools from people that can't find there chargers!)

not the greatest welds ever done but they do the trick.

110 Amp Flux Wire Welder, had to weld in side and out but its solid. Molded it after the EVO 1/4 pounder.

That looks great!! I just bought the PJ Bare Bonez Combo and then I start noticing everyone coming up with their own bumpers using the bolt-on PJ hoop and D-ring brackets and they look awesome! I love my Bare Bonez but this looks great! Nice that you can still use the factory fogs as well, Great job!

Thanks, I was looking at the Bare Bonez combo but i was able to get all the steel pre-cut for $60 and welding only took about an hour. I had the d-ring and hoop from my factory stubby project.
